Changes, Changes, Changes! Oh My!

As you can tell from my title, Stampin' Up! is undergoing some major changes. They are doing a total "Color Renovation". At first I was shocked, now I am SUPER excited and cannot wait to get my hands on all of it. I am already planning the reorganization of my stamp room.

There is a lot of information to take in, so I will try to make it as clear as possible. Here we go:

#1 All changes take place beginning with the release on July 1 of the 2010-2011 Stampin' Up! Idea Book and Catalog.

#2 The following colors are retiring as of June 30, 2010:

Pink Passion, Pixie Pink, Pale Plum, Orchid Opulence, Lovely Lilac, Lavender Lace, Almost Amethyst, Bordering Blue, Brocade Blue, Ballet Blue, Brilliant Blue, Taken with Teal, Glorious Green, Handsome Hunter, Sage Shadow, Mellow Moss, Green Galore, Gable Green, Barely Banana, Yoyo Yellow, Summer Sun, Apricot Appeal, Only Orange, Really Rust, Ruby Red, Cameo Coral, Blush Blossom, Creamy Caramel, close to Cocoa, & Going Gray

#3 The following In-Colors are coming back or staying: Pink Pirouette, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi, River Rock, Tangerine Tango, Riding Hood Red, & Soft Suede

#4 Say hello to 5 new colors: Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze, Cherry Cobbler, & Early Espresso

#5 Stampin' Up! will also release 5 new In-Colors in July (2010) that will stay around for 2 years. Next July (2011) they will release 5 more, for a total of 10 In-Colors in 2011-2012. Then with the 2012 catalog they will retire the 5 colors coming out in July (2010) & introduce 5 more, for a continued total of 10. And so on...

#6 What does this all mean? Reorganization of colors into 40 Stampin' Up! Core Colors in four color collections: Brights, Neutrals, Regals and Subtles (No longer called Families)

#7 The new Core Colors:

Brights Collection: Regal Rose, Melon Mambo, Rich Razzleberry, Pacific Point, Tempting Turquoise, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Pumpkin Pie, Tangerine Tango, Real Red

Subtles Collection: Pink Pirouette, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red, Perfect Plum, Marina Mist, Bashful Blue, Baja Breeze, Wild Wasabi, Certainly Celery, So Saffron

Ok, I know that is a lot to take in, so I will leave you with a parting thought & wait until later posts for more details. Stampin' Up! has already posted solutions for those of us who already have things such as the markers, chalks, water color crayons, etc. Rest assured that this is a good change that they have put a lot of time (1 1/2 yrs +) & thought (focus groups) into. They WILL take care of us. That is what I love about this company!!
